Lessons from ZNMD, Dil Chahta Hai and Rock On....Untangle, Unwind, Unlearn

Saw " Zindagi na Milegi Dobara " a few days ago and it came as a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other cine offerings doing the rounds. As i mused over the main theme of the movie with my better half and a few friends could not help but have a sense of deja vu. I had felt the same way when I had seen Rock On and I had certainly felt the same way when I had seen Dil Chahta Hai. So what were the feelings that these 3 movies evoked that appealed to me? First thing that I related to was the thought that " We are all basically Free - to be what we want to be, to do what we want to do". And yet we tie ourselves up - doing things we don't necessarily like, slaves to the grind, always soldiering on without thinking about the larger picture. Google + and the debate about Friends vs Acquaintance

Earlier this month Google announced "circles" as an alternative to the ubiquitous "friends" on its social networking venture Google+. "Why is it a big deal?" - you may ask. The typical "friend list" of your favourite social networking site contains less than 10% of people you would normally classify as a "friend". The remaining are at best acquaintances - work colleagues who find you socially acceptable, neighbours, classmates etc etc. There is therefore a big gulf between the REAL world and the WWW world in this respect.  "So what if one has more "friends" on the WWW world than in the REAL world?" - you may ask. The answer to that is slightly more involved. Firstly try and recollect the behaviours of all the "friends" in the WWW world.
